Community service can help you successfully transition back into the community. You will have the opportunity to develop new relationships that are supportive while you make a positive difference for others.

Quite a few people have continued as volunteers long after they completed their court required hours such as:

?Laurie? who continues to help sort donations every week;

?Ted? who maintains our computer lab once a month;

?Mary? who joined a church where she coordinates quarterly food drives for CARE;

?Jose? who stops by once a month to shampoo our carpets; and

?John? who continues to buff and wax our tile floors whenever we call him.

We are thrilled with their success; and sincerely grateful for their continued support and look forward to working with you.

Please note CARE?s placement requirements:

- Documentation of non-violent and non-sex related offence
- Court paperwork and picture identification
- Service hours must be pre-scheduled and cancelled
-Complete orientation and trial service period
