CARE’s Emergency Santa Program is a “Hand Up” and not a “Hand Out”
Parents exchange one hour of volunteer service anywhere in their community per child registered in the Santa Program.
Volunteerism instills pride and nurtures support systems that help strengthen individuals, families and our communities.
The Emergency Santa does not “institutionalize” the holidays. Parents select the clothing and gift that are most appropriate for their child and the parent experiences the joy of being the source of their child’s happiness on Christmas morning.
Your help is needed to brighten the holidays for over 3,000 children from families struggling to survive – families faced with unforeseen hardships during the holidays. The Emergency Santa responds to last minute requests from schools, churches and other agencies for children living in Maricopa and Pinal Counties.
