Bev Tittle Baker - President/ Chief Executive Officer
Founded CARE Partnership in 1994. She was the Mesa Woman of the Year in 2002, recipient of the Twelve Who Care Hon Kachina, Robert Wood Johnson Community Health Leadership awards (www.communityhealthleaders.org) and numerous local, state and national awards in recognition of her community service.
Colene Sehested, MSN - Chair
Is a Registered Nurse and has an MS in Nursing. She recently retired from the Arizona State University College of Nursing after 36 years, teaching in Community Health at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Colene has worked with CARE since 1994. She is an informal consultant in the health area, and her main interest is in working with vulnerable populations. She also has an interest in working with children who have learning problems.
Therese Kestner, MA - Secretary
Director of Montessori International School; Therese received AMI primary diploma from the esteemed Sri Lanka; Bachelor of Arts degree from Arizona State University; Master of Arts in early childhood education from ASU; Arizona state teaching certificate for elementary education and learning disability, and AMI assistance to infancy training under Dr. Silvana Montanaro.
Jon Hall, MBA - Treasurer
Received a BA from Harvard University and MBA from Stanford University. Jon and his family have actively supported over a dozen nonprofits for the past twenty years with particular emphasis on youth development, homelessness, and domestic violence. Jon and his sons have helped organize youth sport team collection drives that have generated countless donations for CARE over the past 8 years. Jon is the Chief Operating Officer for Dreamspan Product Innovation, which develops new health care and consumer products.

Henry Martinez - Director
As the President of the ASU Pre-dental Students Club, Henry served on CARE's Oral Health Strategic Planning Committee; he spearheaded our flouride varnish campaign; and has played a critical role in coordinating the student partnerships for our dental clinic.
Sara Scott - Director
Has been an advocate for children and families in Pennsylvania and Arizona for more than 25 years. She currently works for PreHab and has volunteer experience with the East Valley Family Resource Center; HOPE, a regional council for child abuse prevention; Mesa United Way Child Care Survey for the City of Mesa under welfare reform; East Valley Catholic Services; the Kyrene School District Child Care Program, and CARE. Sara joined CARE as a volunteer, organizing and facilitating the after-school program. She later became the first salaried staff person, working in the capacity of Community Organizer/Trainer and Volunteer Coordinator. Sara has been recognized for her volunteer service by East Valley Head Start, the Arizona State Chapter for the Prevention of Child Abuse, the City of Tempe, and the East Valley Unity Church Youth Group. She has a BA in Marketing/Management, is an ordained New Thought Minister, and is certified by the University of Arizona Extension Program as a Community Leadership/Life Skills Trainer and an Active Parenting Trainer.
Walt Zimmerman, Director
Mesa Sertoma Club President has spearheaded Mesa 4th of July Celebration; Annual Turkey Trot; and Constitution Day Commemoration Event.
Ian Douglas - Director
Ian earned a BS from Arizona State University and a law degree from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University. He and his wife have lived in Mesa for six years. He focuses his law practice in the areas of commercial real estate and advising businesses and professionals. He has been involved with the Boy Scouts of America in various capacities for over 20 years.
Nadine Miller - Director
Brock Lorenz - Director
Brock is currently a third year dental student at the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health. He has spent the majority of his life helping others in a variety of ways. He is an Eagle Scout, has served as the Student Director of the three UCSD Student-Run Free Dental Clinic Project from 2004-2006, and helped establish the CARE Partnership student-run dental clinic. As President of the Student Government Association of A.T. Still University, Brock has created several community partnerships and organized numerous events to provide health services to hundreds of lower socioeconomic and underserved populations.

Hon. Mark Anderson - Advisor
Serves as Arizona State Senator. Senator Anderson provides support for CARE's Service for Peace projects and family development programs, His wife Lucia served on the CARE Partnership board and Chaired CARE's Resource Committee .
J. Michael Daley PhD - Advisor
Professor, Emeritus, ASU College of Public Programs, School of Social Work, has served as CARE Partnership's primary advisor for organization, administrative, resource and program development and evaluation activities since 1995.
Robert (Bob) Baker - Advisor
Provides strategic planning for risk management, community outreach and fundraising activities. Bob is the supportive husband (and cheerleader) of CARE's founder and CEO Bev.
Vardell Blau - Advisor
Founding board member, Master Gardener served on the Community Garden Committee; and is the historian for the community and CARE.
Lou Ann Dickson PhD - Advisor
Retired from Mesa Public School Research and Evaluation Dept., Counselor and Medical Office Manager. Louann chaired the Mesa Gang Intervention Project Committee and continues to help CARE with program evaluations and planning,
Karen Peters - Advisor
Is a community activist who has been involved with Mesa neighborhood and planning issues since 1990. Before moving to Arizona, she worked as a reporter, photographer, and associate editor for rural newspapers in New Mexico. As a freelance writer/editor, Karen has worked primarily for Mesa Community College. She served on Mesa?s library advisory board, chaired a citizen?s advocacy group for public transportation, and has committed time to numerous community-building efforts. Karen is a graduate of Mesa Leadership Training and Development and holds associate degrees in business and public relations. Karen Chaired the CARE Partnership Board and the Resource Committee. Karen's husband Ron is the President of BPLW Architect and Engineering. Ron translated the community's vision for the CARE Partnership Center into blue prints.
Hon. Kyle Jones- Advisor
Mesa City Council Member, Chairs Mesa's Safety and Budget Committee. As a resident and representative for the distric where CARE is located, Kyle helps provide direction for revitalization efforts.
Rick Yang - Advisor
Is a computer technology consultant and active volunteer for numerous CARE projects.
Lee Yozowitz, M.D. - Advisor
OB/GYN is the consulting physcian for CARE Partnership's Family Planning Clinic.
